Please Agree to the Following Terms
By submitting material (including photographs, videos, or audio captures) ("Content") to The Associated Press, its subsidiary AP Television News, and any of its affiliates (collectively “AP”), you agree to be legally bound by these terms and agree to AP using your data in accordance with AP privacy / data protection policy.
1. If you are under the age of 18, you must have permission from your parent or guardian in order to submit Content.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not submit any Content to AP.
2. By submitting your Content, you hereby grant to AP a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable and non-revocable right and license to use your Content. This license includes the right for AP to reproduce, publicly display, modify, adapt, edit, publish, translate, distribute, perform, play, create derivative works from, exercise and sub-license all associated and relevant rights with respect to your Content in any media now known or hereafter created. To the extent permitted by law, you hereby unconditionally and irrevocably waive all moral rights you may have in your Content.
3. By submitting your Content, you warrant that such Content (i) is your own original work (which was not produced by you in the course of your employment) or that you are fully entitled to sign this release in favor of AP and that there is no agreement or other restriction preventing the signing of this release; (ii) does not infringe any statutory copyright or any common law right, proprietary right, or any other similar right of any third party; and (iii) does not violate any law, including by the manner in which it was obtained or created.
4. You agree to indemnify and hold AP harmless against any costs, damages and expenses (including legal expenses) it may incur or suffer as a result of a breach of the above warranties.
5. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
